He is survived by: his children, Craig Melhus (Susanne) of Eagle Grove, Nancy Rose (Fred) of Cedar Falls, Denise Ryan (Buzz) of Boone and Marc Melhus (Jeannie) of Moravia, Iowa; his siblings, Yvonne Slevin (Melhus) of Sacramento, Jean Johnston (Melhus) of Coralville and Lee Melhus of Clear Lake, Iowa.; his grandchildren, Tina Morrison (Brian), Brian Melhus, Andrea Arenholz (Tom), Brendon Rose (Lisa), Caitlin Powell (Ryan), Allison Beach (Christopher), Michael Ryan, Corey Melhus (Dee), Brad Melhus (Casey) and Eric Melhus; and his great grandchildren, Ty Morrison, Ady Morrison, Chase Melhus, Jaxon Arenholz, Kenley Arenholz, Emersyn Arenholz, Maddox Powell, Aria Powell, Bennett Beach and Lily Melhus. He is also survived by his children and then his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
