He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Riley and Lula Riley (Warnock); his wives, Vivienne Bloom and Beverly; his son Butch Mason; his sons-in-law, Dan Kemnitz, Jeff Schiller, Ray Burras and David Carson; his siblings, Don Riley and Opal Schmanke; and his stepchildren, Rob and Alicia.
He is survived by: his wife Patsy Riley; his children, Sharon Stelzer (John), Sandra Foster (Todd), Susan Kemnitz, Janette Roulston (Gary), Margaret Carson and Eddie Mason (Jeanette); and his grandchildren, Jennifer Contreras, Jonathon Schiller, Tana Motley (Landis), Kade Beehrle (Alysha), Daniel Kemnitz Jr., Brandon Burras (Bree), Rachel Helmke, Rebekah Johnson, Drew Carson, Mitchell Carson, Carli Carson, Bridgett Hood, Melissa Turner, Matthew Mason and Joshua Mason. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Foust Funeral Home (1115 SW 2nd St, Eagle Grove, IA 50533). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the First Baptist Church (1210 S Commercial Ave, Eagle Grove, IA 50533).
