He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Moffitt and Harriet Moffitt (Barrett); his daughter-in-law Hedi Moffitt; his brother-in-law Charles Parsons; and his brothers, Roy (Kity Moffitt), Walter "Duke" (Betty Moffitt), Edward "Ed" (Ann Moffitt) and Ralph "Ottie" (Jeannette Moffitt).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Nicol; his children, Brenda, Jim, Mary, Eagle Grove, Brian Moffitt of Weatherford, TX, Alan Moffitt (Emily) of Hot Springs, SD and Barbara Stanek (Tom) of Ottumwa; his sister Eleanor Parsons of Overland Park, KS; his nephew Michael Moffitt (Reba); and also Christy Newcomb (Bob). He is also survived by six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
