He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Spangler and Clara Spangler (Tuttle); his siblings, Carroll, Arthur Jr., Kermit, Dorothy Buss, Ina Mae Skadburg, Clarice Carlson and Emma Jean Bloxham; and his great grandchild Gracie Spangler.
He is survived by: his wife Angeline Felbauer; his children, Kim (Pam) of Eagle Grove, Kelly (Vernon Limerick) of Eagle Grove and Nancy (Edwin Martin) of Charlottesville, Virginia; his grandchildren, Michael (Amber) of Farnhamville, Matthew (Katie) of Ankeny, Marcus of Eagle Grove and Katherine Spangler Martin of Charlottesville; and his brother Abe of Eagle Grove. He is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
