It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Francis Wanken of Eagle Grove, Iowa, who passed away on February 13, 2021, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Wanken and Gladys Wanken (Smith); his siblings, Katie, Betty, Marjorie, Mary, Rosalie, Sherry and Daniel; and his grandson Cody Wanken.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Hirsch of Eagle Grove; his children, Lori (Mike Hungate), Rick (Sue Wanken) and Rebecca Das of Eagle Grove; his grandchildren, Andy, Brittany, Zachary, Derek, Christina, Amaya and Austin; his great grandchildren, Cade, Madden, Ryker and Elijah; and his siblings-in-law, Gaye Wanken of North Carolina, Lois Otto of Eagle Grove, Karen Williams (Robert) of Corwith and Mike Hirsch (Caroline) of Eagle Grove. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
