Elmer H. Kamprath Obituary
With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Elmer H. Kamprath (Eagle Grove, Iowa), born in Homestead, Iowa, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Elmer left this world on December 10, 2024 at the age of 96, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. Though Elmer may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Elmer touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Kamprath and Martha Kamprath (Buehrer); his wife Edith Rope; and his siblings, Milton, Victor, Norma Roehrkasse and Ethel Abrams.
He is survived by: his children, Jim Kamprath (Sue) of Iowa City, Sandra Wirth (Al) of Eagle Grove and Denise Whiting of Iowa City; and his siblings, Don and Loretta Wallace of Madison, WI.. He is also survived by five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Foust Funeral Home (1115 SW 2nd St, Eagle Grove, IA 50533). A graveside service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Rose Hill Cemetery.
