It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert McLaren (Dysart, Iowa), who passed away on January 24, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George "Vern" McLaren and Freda McLaren (Lursen); his siblings, Harold and Mavis; his son Michael; and his grandchildren, Kelley McLaren and Kaylan McLaren.
He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Boyenga; his children, Tim (Mary) of Marion, IA, Steve of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Diane Huisenga (Mark) of Arlington, VA, Jeff of Waterloo, IA and Tom (Karen) of Germantown, IL; and his grandchildren, Chris McLaren, Nick McLaren, Heather Hart, Meghan Huisenga, Nathan Huisenga, Kyle McLaren, Noah McLaren, Matt Jacobsen, Stephanie Jacobsen and Allison McLaren. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
