He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendell Knoop and Helen Knoop (Sedlacek); and his stepfather Melvin Valentine. He is survived by: his former wives, Colleen Arp and Susan Cecak; his children, Andrea Coen (Jeff) of Cedar Falls, Wendell Knoop (Sara) of Traer and Alicia Titcomb (Troy) of Elberon; his grandsons, Gavin Knoop and Zane Knoop; his stepgrandsons, Travis Waller of Alaska and Evan Waller of Traer; and his brothers, Dean Knoop (Sharon) of Clutier and Loren Knoop (Leanne) of Clutier. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
