He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Peters and Betty Peters; and his brothers, Steve and Craig Peters. He is survived by: his wife Cindy; his son James; and his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Peters, Susan Hall (Michael), Debbie House (Greg) and John Brobst. He is also survived by 11 nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association.
