He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Selken and Edna Selken (Stein); and his brothers, Verdean, Verlyn and Harlan.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Von Muenster of John's Evangelical Church; his grandchild Just; his children, Cindy Wagoner (Tom) of Colona, IL, Angela Becker (Rick) of Vinton and Wayne Selken of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Andrea Wagoner (Joe Miller) of Colorado Springs, CO, Anna Becker (Andy Sebesta) of Vinton and Jakob Becker of Vinton; his sister Colleen Schulte (Bob); and his sister-in-law Dorothy Selken of Vinton.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Van Steenhuyse-Teahen Funeral Home (1212 1st Ave, Vinton, IA 52349). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mark Lutheran Church (102 N Walnut Ave, Garrison, IA 52229). A burial will be held on Friday, February 21st 2025 at the Garrison Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to St. Mark Lutheran Church, Garrison, or Camp Courageous.
