With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David W. Beenken (Dysart, Iowa), who passed away on May 4, 2020 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his spouse Karyn Konicek; his sons, Scott (Stephanie) of Hudson and Shawn (Mallory) of Adel; his siblings, Jim (Jeanne) of Buckingham, Marguerite Hulme (Allen) of Traer, Jean Bellis (Robert) of Fairbank, Janet McKenna (Kevin) of Storm Lake and Mary Coffin (Don); and his aunt Katherine "Kitty" Dolan of Waterloo. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.

Due to COVID-19, the family will be available for a drive-through visitation from 11 AM-1PM Saturday May 9 at the Overton Funeral Home in Traer, well-wishers are welcome to pay your respects while remaining in your vehicle.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
