It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Susan Marie Goldsmith of Dyersville, Iowa, who passed away on August 21, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Robert Fleming; her parents-in-law, Leo'Duff' and Doris Goldsmith; her nephew Austin Goldsmith; her grandparents, Marvin, Alma Fleming, Cletus and Laura Flick; her aunts, Leota DeVoe, Joan (Vernal Thompson) and Madonna Flick (Donald Lockwood); and her uncle Donald (Phyllis Flick).
She is survived by: her mother Mary Ann Fleming of Ankeny; her husband Tom; her children, Ian Goldsmith (Jackie) of Atlanta and Hannah Goldmink (Kevin) of Cuba City, WI; her siblings, Joe Fleming (Therese) of San Diego, Cal, Rev. David Fleming of Des Moines and Karen Fleming (Dave Richards) of Des Moines; her in-laws, Cheryl Gates (Gary) of Hopkinton, Jeff Goldsmith (Pam), Bruce Goldsmith (Amy) of Earlville, Andy'Grover' Goldsmith (Ellen) of Delhi, Sue Miles (Joel) of Hopkinton and Gary Goldsmith (Lana) of Iowa City; and her aunts and uncles, Linus'Butch'Flick, Alice'Tudy'Lockwood and Doyle DeVoe. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers or memorial items, Sue expressed her wish for donations to Maquoketa Valley Dollars for Scholars or St. Francis Xavier School Scholarship Fund.
