He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Steger and Gertrude Steger (Lansing); his children, Lori Meyer and Mark Steger; his grandson Jason Steger; his siblings, Lillian Wessels and John Steger; and his parents-in-law, Jim Wessels, Bill Bonert Pat Hermsen and Jerry Holtz.
He is survived by: his wife Lillian Hermsen; his children, Keith Steger (Judy) of Colesburg, Ron Steger (Karen) of Bankston, Jim Steger (Gwen Link) of Dyersville, Lisa Goedken (Kevin) of Worthington, Linda Hansel (Jim) of Dyersville and Sarah Steger of Palo; his son-in-law Mike Meyer (Donna) of Dyersville; his siblings, Patrick Steger (Margie) of New Vienna, Charles Steger (Carol) of New Vienna and Mary Ann Bonert of New Vienna; and his parents-in-law, Rosemary Steger-Nickol of Dyersville, Donald Hermsen (Shawn) of Epworth and Kay Holtz of Ocean Springs, MS.. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
