He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Wilhelm and Armella Wilhelm (Klostermann); his stepmothers, Mary Koelker and Marcella Klostermannn; and his stepsiblings, Elaine O'Brien and Dale Klostermann.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Arganbright; his children, Pat Kruse (Lee) of Lancaster, PA, Mary Gaul (Mark) of Worthington, Dan of Dyersville, Deb Campbell (Boyd) of Rudd, Linda Overman (Wayne) of Murfreesboro, TN, Tess Jones (Brian) of Greer, SC, Joe Wilhelm (Angie) of Castle Rock, CO, Janet Sisk (Dave) of Brownsboro, AL, Mike (Kathy Henry) of Denver, CO, Connie Beachy of Solon and Sue Kramer (Matt) of Greer, SC; and his half-brothers, Paul Wilhelm (Rita) of Dyersville, David Wilhelm and Merle Wilhelm (Sharon) of Sarasota, FL. He is also survived by 36 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Memorials are preferred to the Dyersville Historical Society or the Dubuque County Right to Life.
