He was predeceased by: his parents, John Knipper and Melania Knipper (Bruggeman); his parents-in-law, Alfred and Loretta Goedken; his siblings, Virgil Knipper (Gladys), Nellie Steffen (Richard), Anita Wulfekuhle (Albin), Donna Manternach (Gerald) and Gladys Heyer (Harold); and his siblings-in-law, Floyd Goedken (Doris), Joan Pasker, Sr. (Urban), Angela Goedken, Lois Burkle, Deacon Martin Goedken, Delores O'Brien and David Goedken.
He is survived by: his wife Delaine Goedken; his children, Sister Kathy Knipper, Dean Knipper (Jane), Julie Sanders (Lynn), Nancy Knipper (Michelle Watters), Doug Knipper (Lynne) and Amy Mensen (Donnie); his grandchildren, Jason (Lacy), Mitch (Trisha), Brandon Knipper (Brittany), Kim Wills (Zach), Kaylee, Collin, Libby, Allison Knipper, Austin, Emma, Anna Sanders, Aaron and Audrey Mensen; his great grandchildren, Cambry, Delaney, Ryland, Maevyn, Caleb, Lillian, Garrett, Brooklyn, Rhett, Faith and Elizabeth; and his siblings-in-law, Dale Goedken, Don Burkle, Lisa Goedken, Terry O'Brien, Sr., Rita Goedken, Dennis Goedken (Ann) and Charles Goedken (Patrice).
