He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Bries and Regina Bries (Ulbrich); his son Gerard; his parents-in-law, Alphonse Weber, Edmund and Marcella Steger; his siblings, Imogene Feldman (Carl), JoAnn Wille (Donald), Jim Bries, Charlie Bries (Mary), Anna Marie Bries, Elmer Bries and Roger Bries; and his in-laws, Joan Weber and Joe Weber.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Weber; his children, Pamela Durin (Peter), Kurt Bries and Jayme Bries (Dawn); his grandchildren, Keaton, Noah, Ethan, Naomi, Sierra, Josh, Allysa, Aaron, Lexi, Bella, Wade, Landon and Cohen; his siblings, Leroy Bries (Verna), Virgil Bries (Janice), Mike Bries (Marita), Ron Bries (Lee), Harold Bries (Lois), Gerry Bries (Karen), Arnie Bries (Joyce), Thelma Oberbroeckling (Dave) and Carol Hartmann (John); and his in-laws, Darlene Bries, Theresa Bries, Arthur Weber, Kay Recker (Bill), Gerald Weber (Jan) and Elaine Weber. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of gifts, flowers or donations to Hills and Dales are preferred.
