He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Meyer and Loretta Meyer (Weber); his siblings, Donald Meyer (Helen), Mary Jane Steger, Richard Meyer, Loras Meyer, Janice Alfred (Ron), John and Anne Meyer; and his parents-in-law, Ron Olberding, Stanley McLane, Kathy Meyer, Ed Droessler (Helen), Philip Leibold, Kate Temperly (Pete), Bob Schmitt (Roseanne), Peter Leibold, Dave Buse, John Leibold (Carol), Jim Leibold and Linda Leibold.
He is survived by: his wife Sheila Leibold; his children, Ann Jacobs (Carl) of Bellevue and Brian Meyer (Tammy) of Dyersville; his grandchildren, Taylor, Trae Meyer, Jordan Eglseder and Carly Jacobs; his great grandchild Brynnlie Bockenstedt; his siblings, Betty McLane of Dyersville, Joyce Drey (Ron) of Dyersville and Ken Meyer of Dyersville; and his parents-in-law, Pat Meyer of Dyersville, Dorothy Meyer of Dyersville, Harold Steger of Edgewood, Elaine Rath (Denny), Toots Leibold, Margaret Buse, Alice Pettit (Don), Mary Lu Leibold, Paul Leibold (Mary Jean) and Val Leibold (Goodie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
With the risk of COVID-19 spreading at gatherings, the family has decided to hold brief services.
Memorials may be made to St. Francis Xavier or Beckman High School.
