Schuster and Anna Schuster (Takes); his spouse Delpha Smith; his children, Mark Schuster and Patricia Butler; his siblings, Francis "Jake" Schuster, Marge, Lorraine, Joseph Schuster, Wilfred Schuster (Betty), Melvin Schuster and Earl Schuster; and his parents-in-law, Leland Smith, Vincent Smith (Rosanne), Pauline Hotek and Dennis Smith (Voya).

He is survived by: his children, Randall Schuster (Debbie), Michele McNulty (John) of Ireland, Mary Willadsen (Darrel) of Oregon, WI and Pam Ostwinkle (Tony) of Edgewood; his grandchildren, Erin Gilbertson, Abby Turner, Jill Harron, Samson Butler, Daniel Butler, Frances McNulty, Emma McNulty, Erin Duggan Hoeger, Rachel Mueller, Chelsea Zegley, Callie Ostwinkle, Lillian Ostwinkle, Elsie Ostwinkle, Sarah Ostwinkle and Benjamin Ostwinkle; his children-in-law, Marie Schuster of Dyersville and Dean Butler of Dubuque; and his parents-in-law, Phyllis Schumacher (Bob), Paul Smith (Judy), Ramona Smith and Bill Hotek. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
