He is survived by: his children, Kevin Tegeler (Sheila) of Dyersville, Kim Gansemer (Mike) of Johnston, Terry Tegeler (Dana) of Wesley Chapel, FL and Todd Tegeler (Melanie) of Bondurant; his grandchildren, Amy (Tony Martirosian), Kyle Gansemer, Sarah Ames (Brandt), Kaylee, Mackenzie Tegeler, Rachel, Joshua and Lauren Tegeler; his stepgranddaughter Heather Huckabone (Raymond); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Marley and Hendrix Huckabone; his sister Mary Jean "Toots" Westhoff (Henry) of New Vienna; and his sister-in-law Clarice Domeyer (Peter).
