Prier and Lucille Prier (Lansing); his wife Lucille Steffensmeier; his daughters, Lois and Patricia; his brother Marvin Prier; and his parents-in-law, Roger Deutmeyer, Wilma Prier, Florence Meis Arthur (Joe), Richard Nadermann, Eugene Steffensmeier (Helen), Eldon Steffensmeier (Clara) and Donald Steffensmeier.
He is survived by: his children, Elaine Urbain (Cletus) of Dyersville, Janice Steffen (Wayne L.) of New Vienna, David Prier of Marina, CA, Carl Prier (Julie) of Dyersville, Wayne Prier (Beverly) of Dyersville, Dale Prier (Sandy) of Hopkinton, Allen Prier (Joyce) of Elkader, Mark Prier (Annette) of Dubuque, Daniel Prier (Kim) of Dyersville and Donald Prier (Christine) of Dyersville; his siblings, Germaine Deutmeyer of Dyersville, Kay Eilers (Ambrose) of Monticello, Gerald Prier (Marilyn) of Dyersville, Ed Prier (Eileen) of Dyersville, Charles Prier (Janet) of Dyersville, Will Prier (Bonnie) of Dubuque and Loras Prier (Mary Ellen) of Scottsdale, Arizona; and his parents-in-law, Eunice Prier of Manchester, Alice Nadermann of Dyersville, Mary Hellman (Charles) of Holy Cross, Elaine Steffensmeier of Dyersville, Wilfred Steffensmeier (Andrea) of Farley, James Steffensmeier (Rita) of Dyersville and Agnes Steffensmeier of Dyersville. He is also survived by 34 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.
Public visitation will be held from 4 – 7 pm Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2020, with limited family presence due to COVID protocol. Masks are recommended and social distancing is strongly encouraged.
