It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas D. Tauke of Dyersville, Iowa, who passed away on January 14, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, David Tauke and Joan Tauke (Moorman); and his sister Beth "Bunny" Overman. He is survived by: his wife Kathy J. McDermott; his children, Joe Tauke (Kim) of Germantown Hills, IL and Laura Herbst (Scott) of Cedar Rapids, IA; his grandchildren, Aiden, Miles, Grace and Luke; his stepmother Alice Tauke of Dyersville; his parents-in-law, Patrick and Patricia McDermott of Epworth; his siblings, Deb Ketchen (John) of Vinton, Diane Reid (Craig) of Marion, Sue Ellingson (Larry) of Iowa City, Sandy Isenhart (Rick) of Littleton, CO and Dan Tauke (Sue) of Dyersville; his brother-in-law Dennis Overman (Shari) of Dyersville; and his in-laws, Kerry McDermott (Karen) of Altoona, Kelli McDermott of Cascade, Lynne Gibbs (Roger) of Dyersville and Amy Kauffmann of Dubuque.

Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Kramer Funeral Home (750 12th Ave SW, Dyersville, IA 52040). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Basilica (104 3rd St SW, Dyersville, IA 52040). A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 12:20 PM to 12:40 PM at the St. Francis Cemetery (415 8th St NW, Dyersville, IA 52040).
