With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Darlene Bries of Dyersville, Iowa, who passed away on January 20, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Kruse and Veronica Kruse (Nurre); her husband James C. Bries; her brothers, Alfred Kruse and Raymond Kruse Jr.; her parents-in-law, Arnold Sr. and Regina Bries (Ulbrich); her in-laws, Imogene Feldmann (Carl), JoAnn Wille (Donald), Roger Bries, Kenneth Bries, Elmer Bries, Charlie Bries (Mary) and Anna Marie Bries; and her godson Jayme Bries.
She is survived by: her children, Cathy Kramer (Karl) of Dyersville, Connie Kluesner (Neal) of Bankston, Chuck Bries (Christina) of Marion and Cindy Kramer (Mark "Chuck") of Epworth; her grandchildren, Jayme Kramer (Stephanie), Nicole Seipp (Mike), Kyle Kramer (Marissa), Jesse Kluesner, Joshua Kluesner (Kellie), Jordan Kluesner (Sarah), Zachary Hart, Samuel Bries (Kayla), Charlie Bries, Cody Gardner and Isabella Mattick (Matthew); her great grandchildren, Ella, Emma Kramer, Gabrielle, Christian Seipp, Delaney, Parker Kramer, Chelsea Bussan, Aubrey, Jocelyn Kluesner, Hayden, Oaklynn and Quinn Kluesner; her brother Larry Kruse (Julie); and her in-laws, Betty Kruse, Leroy Bries (Verna), Virgil Bries (Janice), Michael Bries (Marita), Ronald Bries (Lee), Harold Bries (Lois), Gerald Bries (Karen), Arnold Jr. Bries (Joyce), Thelma Oberbroeckling (David), Carol Hartmann (John), Lois Bries and Theresa Bries. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Kramer Funeral Home (750 12th Ave SW, Dyersville, IA 52040). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the St. Francis Xavier Basilica (103 2nd St SW, Dyersville, IA 52040). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the Holy Trinity Cemetery South Andres.
