He was predeceased by: his parents, John Scherbring and Josephine Scherbring (Ronnebaum); his mother-in-law Katie Oberbroeckling; his siblings, Walt Scherbring (Mary), Eileen Stephan (Joe) and Lester Scherbring; and his parents-in-law, Henry Harter, Hugo Oberbroeckling, Shirley Oberbroeckling, Carolyn Oberbroeckling, Harry McBride and Lorraine Stephan.
He is survived by: his former wife Anna Mae Oberbroeckling; his wife Annie; his children, Dale Scherbring (Janet) of Cedar Rapids, Mark Scherbring (Liz) of Dyersville, Carl Scherbring (Mary) of Colesburg, Joan Musich of Westphalia, Dean Scherbring (Linda) of Manchester, Jill Scherbring of Dyersville and Gwen Lewis (Jeff) of Dubuque; his grandchildren, Keri Scherbring (Jordan Rundle), Jay Scherbring, Amanda Wachendorf (Skyler), Nicole Lytle (Cody), Jessica, Samantha, Courtney Scherbring, Luke, Lexi Musich, Chance, Rebekah Scherbring and Libby Scherbring; his great grandchildren, Dexter Scherbring, Jordyn, Charles Lytle and Riley Wachendorf; and his parents-in-law, Elaine Scherbring, Peter Oberbroeckling (Jane), Clara Harter, Leo Oberbroeckling, Dave Oberbroeckling (Julie), Kay Herman, Hilda DeMuth (Clem), Clyde Oberbroeckling (LouAnn), John Oberbroeckling, Walt Oberbroeckling and Becky Oberbroeckling.
