She was predeceased by: her parents, William McDermott and Julia McDermott (Faley); her husband Clifford Knippel; her son Francis Knippel; her son-in-law Greg Doeden; her siblings, Melvin McDermott (Loretta), Marie Carmody (Gene), Callista Secker (John), Hazel Woods (Jim) and Clare McDermott (Bertha); and her siblings-in-law, Dr. Roger Ott Sr., Floyd Knippel (Louise), Eugene Knippel (Ruth), Hilbert Knippel (Vivian), Charles Knippel (Lila), Mabel McDermott, Joyce Paulson (Del) and Helen Paulson (LeRoy).
She is survived by: her children, Clifford "Kip" Knippel (Sharon) of St. Paul, MN, John F. Knippel (Teresa) of St. Paul, MN, Nicole Rahe (John) of Dyersville, IA and Renee Doeden of Dubuque, IA; her grandchildren, Kip Knippel (Jamie), Keegan Knippel, Ben Rahe (Sarah), Adam Rahe (Kiley), Aaron Rahe (Lauren), Andy Rahe (Vickie), Kelly Butler, Tim Knippel (Mikenna) and Julia Knippel; and her siblings, Luanus Ott of Dubuque and Louie McDermott of Dyersville. She is also survived by 22 great grandchildren.
