We bid farewell to Andrew L. Goedken of Dyersville, Iowa, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 23, 2025 at the age of 84. Andrew touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Goedken and Veronica Goedken (Krogman); his siblings, Leo Goedken, Anthony "Bud" Goedken (Esther), Gladys Steger (Donald) and Grace Feldmann (Tom); and his brother-in-law Irvin Sellner.
He is survived by: his wife Veronica "Maxine" Goedken of Dyersville; his children, Gregory Goedken (Peg) of Rickardsville, Pam Hoefer (Bill) of Guttenberg, Steve Goedken of Deerwood, MN, Lynnette Goedken of Dyersville, Rod Goedken (Wendy) of Dyersville and Nathan Goedken (Jess) of Earlville; his sisters, MaDonna Sellner of Earlville and Eileen Wiskus (Bill) of Luxemburg, IA; and his sister-in-law Lois Goedken of Dyersville. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
A prayer was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Reiff Funeral Home (490 Field of Dreams Way, Dyersville, IA 52040). Visitation was held on Friday, March 28th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Basilica of St. Francis Xavier Dyersville (104 3rd St SW, Dyersville, IA 52040).
