He was predeceased by: his parents, John Voelkers and Maxine Voelkers (Umbdenstock); his son Brian Voelkers; his stepmother Alice Voelkers; his parents-in-law, Harry and Audrey Guyer; his brother-in-law Dick Danielson; his stepsister Merna; and his brother-in-law Ed Behnke.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Guyer; his sons, Jeff Voelkers (Wendy) of Fishersville and Tim Voelkers of Durant; his grandchildren, Chase Voelkers, Carter Voelkers, Katie Voelkers and Ashley Dzvonick; his sister Linda Danielson of Davenport; and his brothers-in-law, Wayne Guyer (Jan) and Larry Guyer (Diane).
