It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Sims of Durant, Iowa, who passed away on December 11, 2021, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred Trainque and Yvette Trainque (Fontaine); her aunt Barb Connelly; and her nephew Joey Goulet. She is survived by: her husband Dennis "Duke" Sims; her pet Charlie; her daughters, Kristy McLaughlin (Shawn) of Davenport, Amy Mathis (John Birkhofer) of Moscow and Stephanie Sims (Brandon Bousselot) of Durant; her grandchildren, Isabelle, Slade, Trevor, Amelia, Jaxan and Samuel; and her siblings, Louise Erps (John) of Davenport, Lucy Pallescheck (Kevin) of Tuscon, Peggy Hintermeister (Dave) of Sierra Vista, Bea Besick (Al) of Agency and Jerry Trainque (Juna) of Clarksville, Tennessee. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
