With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Harvey Dittmer of Durant, Iowa, who passed away on June 26, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Romeo Dittmer and Victoria Dittmer (Bunge); his daughters, Dawn Dittmer and Lynne Benton; and his brothers, Don Dittmer and Earl Tyler.
He is survived by: his wife Vonnie; his sons, Dean Dittmer of Loveland and Scott Cole (Tracy) of Mason, Ohio; his grandchildren, Steven Roberts (Sara), Brittney Ingles (Dennis), Tyler Benton, Danielle Dittmer, Brock Dittmer (Rachel), Alyx Taggart (Blaise), Samuel Cole, Cassidy Nelson (Justin), Logan Cole and Brooke Dittmer-Roberts; his great grandchildren, Rowyn, Lucas, Tony, Ivy, Koufax, Owen and Alyson; and his siblings, Dick Dittmer, Brian Dittmer (Marlene) and Dolores Hagge. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given to the Durant Ambulance, Durant Fire Department or St. David's Anglican Church.
