She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Bottari and Ida Bottari (Balducci); her husband Fred Scherrer; her stepfather Melvin Herring; her grandson Kris Mann; and her brothers, Peter Bottari and Raymond Bottari.

She is survived by: her daughters, Linda Ohlweiler (Tom) of Rock Island, IL and Regina Kress (Dan) of Rock Island, IL; her brothers, Lionel Bottari of Chicago, IL and Robert Bottari of Henderson, NV.; and her friend Kathy Scott.

Memorials may be made in Gloria's name to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center or Down by the Creek Animal Rescue.
