He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ronning of Durant; his children, Doug Asselbergs (Lisa Dehner) of Santa Rosa and Michele Lockard of Las Vegas, Nevada; and his brothers, Kees Asselbergs (Ina) of Holland and Paul Asselbergs of Spain.
Memorials may be given to Durant Fire Department, Durant Ambulance or St. David's Anglican Church.
