It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Christie Thoma of Durant, Iowa, born in Postville, Iowa, who passed away on May 9, 2021, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Keith Thoma; his wife Carol L. Bowman; his parent Chrystol Hansen (Miller); his stepfather Oliver Hansen; and his brothers, Michael Thoma and Mark Hansen.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Thoma (Kara) of West Branch and Liz Thoma (Sarah) of Denver, CO; his grandchildren, Brady, Lola, Morgan, Jones and Reese Thoma; and his brothers, Jeffrey Thoma (Bonnie Staggs) of Durant, Tom Hansen (Trudy) of Enoch, UT and Ron Hansen (Kristy) of Durant. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Durant Youth Baseball.
