It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vivian Gilleland (Dunlap, Iowa), born in Omaha, Nebraska, who passed away on March 19, 2024, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Earl "Windy" Thompson and Beth Darlene Thompson (Hulsebus); her husband Gene; and her brother Steve "Biggy" Thompson. She is survived by : her children, Theresa Brummer of Arion, Craig Gilleland of Ankeny and Sarah (Jonathan McDonald) of Neola, Iowa; her grandchildren, Tyler, Austin, Kyle, Sydney and Dylan; her close friend Pat Grady of Logan, Iowa; and her siblings, Beth (Joe Sullivan) of Dunlap, Richard "Henry" Thompson (Shawna) of Manilla and Cindy (Don Vollbrecht) of Norfolk, Nebraska. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
