Ruth Schaben Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ruth Schaben of Dunlap, Iowa, who passed away on February 7, 2021, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Ruth Schaben to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Schiltz and Margaret Schiltz (Kenkel); her husband Jim Schaben; her daughter Geraldine; her granddaughter Alexandria Schaben; and her siblings, Alice Fahn, Edna Schiltz and Walter Schiltz.

She is survived by: her children, Jay Schaben (Karla) of Dunlap, Jeri Schaben of Omaha, Jim Schaben (Cindie) of Dunlap, Jack Schaben (Linda) of Spirit Lake, Joe Schaben (Beth) of Dunlap, Jean Schaben of Phoenix and Jon Schaben (Julie) of Dunlap; and also Jim. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Jim and Ruth Scholarship Fund or Dunlap Fire and Rescue.
