We are sad to announce that on August 2, 2023, at the age of 41, Michael Heistand (Dunlap, Iowa), born in Denison, Iowa passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Michael Heistand to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Orville Hagen Webb, Leonard and Edith Heistand; his uncles, Terry Heistand, Dave Heistand, John Bartlett and Hugh Hayes; and his cousin Quentin Heistand.

He is survived by: his parents, Tom J. Heistand of Dunlap and Elizabeth Joan Heistand (Webb); his wife Dana Swenson of Dunlap; his children, Giada and Thomas; his siblings, Cory Heistand (Elizabeth) of Dow City, Jason Heistand of Dow City and Jeana Schultz (Eric); his grandmother LaGene Webb of Denison; his parents-in-law, Joni Swenson of Spirit Lake and Kevin Swenson of Soldier; and his siblings-in-law, Kelly Swenson (Teri) of Johnston and Kyle Swenson (Mackenzi) of Polk City. He is also survived by 18 nieces and nephews whom he cherished; and many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Boyer Valley Ag Foundation to support the FFA.
