With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Marie Block-Smith (Dunlap, Iowa), who passed away on May 30, 2018 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her husbands, Herman Block and Perry Smith; her children, Tom Block (Peggy), Jane Eggers and Marsha Grindle; her granddaughters, Whitney Anne Cloud and Peggy Arlene Block; and her siblings, Eugene Kloewer, Roman Kloewer and Rita Leinen.
She is survived by : her children, Diane Houston (David) of Omaha, Charlene Yaple (Ralph) of Lenexa, Dean Block of Dunlap, Rod Block (Barb) of Dunlap and Sherry Baldwin (Larry) of Neola; her sons-in-law, Larry Eggers of Omaha and David Grindle of Soldier; her siblings, Jerry Kloewer (Pauline) of Harlan and Fran Kloewer of Omaha; her sister-in-law Kathleen Kloewer of Panama; and also, Margaret Grote (Raphael) of Dunlap, Stella Bexten of Manilla, Charles Kloewer (Rosemary) of Mapleton and Mike Kloewer (Marlys) of Manilla. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.
