It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lloyd J. Birney of Dunlap, Iowa, born in Silver Creek, Washington, who passed away on June 29, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Birney and Rosa Igou Birney; and his brother Clement Birney. He is survived by : his wife Jean Birney of Dunlap, Iowa; his children, Calvin Birney (Sherry) of Kansas, Denise Birney (Ronald Graham) of Iowa, Tanra Wishon of North Carolina, Eric Bretey (Melanie) of Boone, Ryan Bretey (Tammy) of Persia and Carrie Gunderson (Greg) of Denison, Iowa; and his sisters, Eileen of Texas, Clara Mae of Texas and Louise of Texas. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
