As Karen departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Karen may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Karen leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her son Jason Hoffmann; her father Gene Johnson; and her parents-in-law, Jim and Jeanne Hoffmann. She is survived by: her mother Carolyn Johnson (Martens) of Carroll; her husband John Hoffmann of Dunlap; her sons, Justin Hoffmann (Autumn) of Dunlap and Tyler Hoffmann (Rachel) of Manning, Iowa; her grandson Briar; and her brother Ron Johnson (Angie) of Carroll. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Fouts Funeral Home- Dunlap (500 Court St, Dunlap, IA 51529). A prayer was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (509 S 3rd St, Dunlap, IA 51529).
