It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Ballantine in Dunlap, Iowa, born in Dow City, Iowa, who passed away on January 11, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, David Ballantine and Lois Ballantine (Richards); his wife Victoria Frain Jackson; his grandson Steven Harmon; and his sister Arletta Brown.
He is survived by : his children, Tom Ballantine (Cindy) of Greensboro, NC and Sarah Ballantine of Flandreau, SD; his stepchildren, Marty Jackson of Iowa City, Tammy Jackson of Spencer, IA, Robert Jackson of Arion, IA and Tony Jackson (Sarah) of Omaha, NE; and his sister Esther Berkan of Michigan. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
