He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald L. Houston and Muriel M. Houston (Egan); his parents-in-law, Earl and Priscilla Frisk; his nephew Randy Houston; and his siblings-in-law, Charlie Frisk and Connie Harper.
He is survived by: his daughter Jennifer Joan (Owen Rickner) of Lincoln; his wife Joni Frisk; his stepsons, Greg Brasel (Erinn) of Dunlap and David Brasel of Livermore, Iowa; his grandchildren, Bailee, Charlie and Benjamin Gerald; his siblings, Richard Houston (Jean) of Denison, Iowa and Janice Arrick of Omaha, Nebraska; his sister-in-law Julie (Paul Pedersen) of Sommerville; and his nieces and nephews, Jeff Houston, Kenny Piertti, Pam McCall, Susan Schrick and Denise Arrick Mayhem.
