He was predeceased by : his parents, Marion Kredit and Gertrude Kredit (Timmer); and his brothers, Wendell and Merlin. He is survived by : his wife Billie Jo of Dow City; and his children, Lori Horstman (Rick Hansen) of Cedar Rapids, Kris Mace (Ron) of Coralville, Sherry McCartney (Craig Hunt) of Omaha, Pete Hamblen (Rosella) of Minden and Patrick Adams of Lincoln, Nebraska. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
