With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Thomas J. DeLong of Dunkerton, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 10, 2024. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathaniel Jurgens DeLong and Gladys Marie DeLong (Ackerman); his wife Kristin Jo Shimp; his daughter Wendy Broten; his siblings, Paul, Pauline DeLong and Harold DeLong (Helen); and his brother-in-law John Ryherd.
He is survived by: his children, Lisa Shook (Bill) of Dunkerton, Denise Schock (Scott) of Readlyn and David DeLong (Cheryl) of Dunkerton; and his siblings, James DeLong (Becky) of Dunkerton and Patricia Ryherd of Waterloo. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
Memorials may be directed to the family to be directed to organizations close to Tom's heart.
