It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Lou Shimp of Dunkerton, Iowa, born in Winthrop, Iowa, who passed away on August 4, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Alice Emily Ball (Scott); her stepfather Frank Ball; her husband Robert Leslie Shimp; her siblings, Melvin, Charles, Velma, Betsy and Laura; and her son-in-law Ron Kaune.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Kaune of Dunkerton, Suzanne Rigdon (Scott) of Dunkerton, Leslie Shimp (Maureen) of Fairbank, IA, Daniel Shimp (Lori) of Waverly, IA, Scott Shimp (Anne) of Dunkerton and Benjamin Shimp of Dunkerton; and her sisters, Verna Miller of Waverly and Donna Knight of Las Vegas, NV.. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren.
Memorials will be directed to the First Baptist Church.
