We are sad to announce that on September 27, 2024 we had to say goodbye to John Rubino of Dunkerton, Iowa, born in Oelwein, Iowa. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Michael Rubino and Philomena Rubino (Alessio); his wife Darlene Green; and his close friends, Luigi Stasi and Vern Steva.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Rubino (Auke Schautanus) of Ferryville, WI and Nick Rubino (Patty); his granddaughters, Kat Sherman (Ashley) and Kimberly Rubino; his great grandchildren, Joshua, Anavrin and Anakin; his sisters-in-law, Brenda Brinkyark and Jackie Rubino; his sons, Donald and Vince; and his siblings, Tony (Donna), Lewis (Beverly), Mike, Jim, Connie (Fred Jenkins), Theresa Ricchio (Jasper) and Mary Kaminski (Bruno).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (627 W 4th St, Waterloo, IA 50702). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Woodlawn Cemetery-Oelwein Memorials (1301 W Charles St, Oelwein, IA 50662).
In lieu of flowers, John requested that memorials be made to the family.
