He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Sadler and Mary "Mae" Sadler (Fettkether); his siblings, Alvin Sadler, Dean Sadler, Garold Sadler, Raymond Sadler, Erving Sadler, Edwin Sadler and Mary Sadler; and his brother-in-law George Schmitz.

He is survived by: his siblings, Melvin Sadler (Theresa) of Dunkerton, IA, Gerald Sadler (Elaine) of Waterloo, IA, Rita Schmitz of Jesup, IA, Judy Starbuck of Waterloo, IA and Donna Nelson of Madrid, IA; and his sisters-in-law, Thres Sadler of Fairbank, IA and Donna Mae Sadler of Fairbank, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
