She was predeceased by: her parents, Harl Newhard and Florence Newhard (Day); her son-in-law Dennis Millard; and her siblings, Donald, Ivan, Lyle, Francis "Buzz" Newhard and Ruth Barnes.
She is survived by: her husband Clarence D. Sedgwick; her children, Sandra Bishop (Randall) of Cedar Rapids, Jane Haigh (Mark) of Cedar Falls, Jill Millard (Dave Otdoerfer) of Strawberry Point and Dr. Ricky Sedgwick (Janet) of South Pasadena, California; her grandchildren, Luke Bishop (Melissa), Lance Bishop (Jennifer), Adam Haigh (Abigail), Abby Haigh, Kyle Millard (Amy), Cole Millard (Jen), Jordan Millard (Hannah Hyde), Alex, Rachael, Kelsey and Parker Sedgwick; and her great grandchildren, Chloe, Esther Bishop, Blake, Piper Bishop, Lennyn, Holden Haigh, Aydan, Abram, Kylar, Kamya, Amyra Millard, Maci Millard, Marvel Millard and Blair Hyde.
Memorial donations can be sent in Lois's name to Alzheimer's Association.
