She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Buffinton and Grace Buffinton (Crouse); her husband Fred Schoettmer; her son James; and her siblings, Loyd, Glen, Alveda Wendland, Darlene Oberhelman and Pauline Koester.
She is survived by: her children, Cliff Vinsant of Estero, FL and Donna Vinsant of Webster City; and her sisters, Velma Jacob of Fort Dodge and Lois Thielmann of Manson. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
