With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William P. Sweeney (Dubuque, Iowa), born in Waukon, Iowa, who passed away on June 21, 2022. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Sweeney and Edith Sweeney; and his wife Betty Jean. He is survived by: his daughters, Debbie Fiacco of Cedar Rapids and Pamela Sweeney of Dubuque; and his granddaughters, Melissa Fiacco (Matt Hamand), Kristen DeCarlo (Nick) and Morgan Kennedy (AJ).

In lieu of flowers, a Bill Sweeney memorial fund has been established.
