He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Elmer and Trula Margaret Ward (Hoover). He is survived by: his wife Charlotte D. Hindes of Dubuque; his children, Michael Ward of Cedar Rapids and Angela Schmidt of Dubuque; and his grandchildren, Jessica Eggers (Gilbert), Jacqueline Johns (Christopher) and Prestin Schmidt. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
