With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne J. Valentine of Dubuque, Iowa, who passed away on January 9, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Valentine (Herbst) and Lenny; his brother Dick; his parents-in-law, Cletus and Catherine Freiburger; and his brothers-in-law, David Freiburger and John Marini.
He is survived by: his wife Elaine M. Freiburger; his children, Theresa Bahl (Jamie), Kristi Lincoln (Gregory), Todd Valentine (Christine) and Gina Schlueter (Paul); his grandchildren, Alexandra Jeffrey (Luke), Jessalyn Keith (Ryan), Matthew, Joseph Bahl, Heather Lincoln (Tony Steffen), Joscelyn Schumacher (Brian), Hunter, Wylee Lincoln, Kailie Peterson (Josh), Jordyn Valentine (Mark Duffie), Mike Valentine, Noah and Nathan Schlueter; his great grandchildren, Emmalyn Jeffrey, Charlie Schumacher, William and Katherine Keith; his sister Kathy Meyer (Tom); and his sister-in-law Mary Lou Valentine. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a Wayne J. Valentine Memorial Fund has been established in his honor.
