He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Shireman and Ruth Shireman (Fiet); his wife Andrea; and his sister Mary Ellen Shireman. He is survived by: his siblings, A. T. "Timothy" Shireman, Regina Montgomery (Bruce) of Virginia, Linda Link of Dubuque, Verna Barnett (Michael) of Oregon and Evelyn "Evie" Small (Jim) of Washington; and his stepdaughters, Valerie Lau (Brian) of Dubuque, Jackie Wiener (Jim) of Dubuque and Christie Voshell of Dubuque.
A Vernon Daniel Shireman Memorial Fund has been established.
